Mo Music, No Problems: What DJ Mo Has on Repeat this Fall

Between Sabrina’s latest masterpiece, my go-to fall tracks, and some new discoveries of mine, my headphones are extremely happy these days. Walking to class has never been more fun. I am excited to share my latest listenings with you all and hopefully add some gems to your playlists.

House Tour by Sabrina Carpenter, Courtesy of Spotify

First up, of course, is House Tour, by none other than Sabrina Carpenter. Sabrina never misses, but she really outdid herself with Man’s Best Friend. The innuendos have never been cheekier, the sounds never funkier. Although it is not something I would play in the car with my grandma, it is currently my favorite getting-ready-with-the-girls anthem. “My house is on Pretty Girl Avenue; my house was especially built for you…”

Reflecting Light by Sam Phillips, Courtesy of Spotify

Second on my list of fall favorites is Reflecting Light by Sam Phillips. For all my Gilmore Girls fans, Sam Phillips is the singer of all the ‘la la la la la’ tunes underscoring most of our favorite scenes. Not to mention, Gilmore Girls is the ultimate fall series. Reflecting Light is actually the song Luke and Lorelai danced to at Liz’s wedding in season four. This song is beautiful, optimistic, and makes for some extremely easy listening.

Rin Ring Ring by Tyler the Creator, Courtesy of Spotify

Going in a different direction, third on the list is Ring Ring Ring by Tyler, The Creator. Don’t Tap the Glass was my late-summer soundtrack and Ring Ring Ring played through my headphones on many a hot girl walk. The dial tone and funky accents are so fun, and it makes me feel like I should be dancing in the club; granted, I usually feel this way.

Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now by The Smith, Courtesy of Spotify

Fourth and finally is Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now by The Smiths. “I love the Smiths!” That’s a 500 Days of Summer reference for those who don’t know. I play this song year-round, but I discovered it in the fall of my sophomore year of high school, so there is some nostalgia there. Despite the grumpy name, it’s upbeat and dancy. Like my dad would say, “It’s got a good beat and you can dance to it.

This is merely a glimpse into the songs keeping me fun, flirty and fabulous this season. I hope you have songs that make you feel this way as well. I am over the moon about this little venture and hope you are too.

XOXO,
DJ Mo
