In memory of country singer Dolly Parton, WUSC wants to share some songs that you either know and love, may be familiar with or should check out.

"To Know Him Is To Love Him" was released on the 1967 album, “Trio”, on January 26, 1967. This was a cover of The Teddy Bears’ original song, released in September of 1958.

"Light of a Clear Blue Morning" was released on her album, “New Harvest…First Gathering”, on March 21, 1977. The song was written because Parton felt figurative clouds lifting, according to Alanna Nash’s unauthorized 1978 biography, “Dolly”.

"The Day I Fall In Love" was released on “Beethoven’s 2nd: Music from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” in 1993. It peaked at #36 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
