Christmas Songs In November: Yay or Nay?

Hey, ya’ll! It's Essence, a.k.a. DJ Honey from Honey and Spice! I'm a huge music lover, especially when it comes to holiday music. There’s always a BIG debate around this time of year - is it too early to listen to Christmas music or not? Some people think that Christmas music should not grace your ears until after the turkey has been washed off of your plates. But in Mariah Carey’s words, “It’s TIMEEEE!” Every November 1st, I listen to the Christmas radio station. It’s been a tradition for me ever since I was a little girl. They play the same Christmas music by the same artists which can get a little repetitive, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and Black Friday deals are beginning to hit the shelves. What better way to get into the spirit than to listen to Christmas music?  It fits the (more or less) cool temperature, chilly winds, and thick sweaters. Honestly, it makes me happy and gets me into the mood for the Christmas season. Since it's November, it's basically December, am I right? I have so many Christmas songs that I adore and hold close to my heart. Check out my Christmas playlist to get into the spirit with me! Merry November. :)
